Flora Vista Membership/Donation Drive

We want to thank all the parents who have joined our PTA and donated towards all our great programs and consultants. It's not too late...please help us to get 85% of our parents as members!

Also congratulations to Miss Becker's class for Leading the Way! The top 3 classes with a minimum of 80% participation will get a free Pizza party!!!!

Our Donation Drive is off to a great start. We have 42 families signed up for the monthly donations, we've received $20,000 in PTA donations and $13,000 in EEF donations. Our goals are $60,000 for PTA and $60,000 for EEF. Please keep sending in your donations and don't forget you can do a one-time donation or sign up for monthly donations on our website, www.fvpta.org. Next week you wil see your membership bonus delivered to your child's class.

Join our team of parents, teachers and administration in providing the best education possible for your children!  By getting involved and supporting the PTA, research demonstrates that:
Grades and test scores go up
Discipline problems go down
Children are more likely to pass their classes, graduate and go onto higher education
The school as a whole becomes more successful
What does our PTA provide for students and teachers?
Our Flora Vista PTA provides programs that encourage reading, exercise, creativity, environmental awareness, and good citizenship. Our programs build strong students and celebrate the children's hard work and accomplishments.   Some of these priceless programs Flora Vista PTA pays for and supports with volunteers include:

Playground Partners.......Peace Patrol.......Arts Attack.......Science Attack.......Green Team….Flora Vista Reads......Math, Science & Beyond......Spelling Bee......Math 24.…Garden….Everyone’s a Reader….Character Counts....Performing Arts Night....Flory Store….Family Nights….Welcome Coffee....Red Ribbon Week….6th grade Promotion….and much more!

As well as in-class programs including:

Kindergarten-field trip to the Heritage Museum and the bus ride to get there, 1st grade-field trip to Helen Woodward Animal Sanctuary, 2nd grade-Lux Art 5 week in-class program, 3rd grade-Native American Flute program, 4th grade-Playwrites Project, 5th grade-Walk Through American Revolution, 6th grade-Walk Through Ancient Worlds.

PTA with the EEF also raise money to provide a Music,PE and Computer consultant for each student 30 minutes a week!

In order to continue all these outstanding programs, we must raise
